Acanthus sweater fluffy
The sweater is knitted from the top down on circular needles. First, stitches are cast on for the neckline, which is knitted in twisted rib. Then, the stitches are divided using 8 markers for raglan increases. Short rows are worked first to shape the back, followed by knitting in the round, following the pattern chart while continuing the increases around the markers. Once the yoke is completed, the sleeve stitches are set aside while the front and back stitches are joined to form the body, which is then knitted in the round. The body is finished with a twisted rib hem and an Italian bind-off. The sleeves are then knitted by placing the reserved stitches back on the needles and picking up additional stitches in the armhole. The sleeves are knitted straight down in the lace pattern until just before the ribbing, where decreases are made to create a balloon effect.
