Acanthus baby socks
Construction:
The socks are knitted from the top down. First, knit stocking st and make 2 holes for the tape. The work is folded down and knit together to form the cuff in which the string is to run. The work is then divided into a front and back, which is worked in pattern knit. The heel is shaped by making turning sticks and the foot is extended by knitting further in pattern knit. Intake is made to create the toe shape. That is closed off with stitching. Knit the tie band in I-Cord.
